She's not a baby.
She's not a baby. She's a marshmallow with arms and legs. She's a giant, crawling beam of sunshine. She's a giggle. Holding her is like going down a slide. It's like having bubbles pop all over your face. Ruby is the squeaky wheel, but Tabs is the fun ride. She's fantastic.
And she's growing so fast! In the last few weeks, she's learned quite a few new tricks. She says "BAH!" for ball -- and she can throw a ball hard. Reminds me that I'll have to get a video of our little Fernando Valenzuela... Sometimes she insists "BAH! BAH!" and I won't see it, but then sure enough -- there's the frickin ball behind the couch or under the bed or where ever. She also says "OOH! OOH!" for dog. As in, a doggy says "ooh! ooh!" (which is obviously Tabspeak for "woof woof"). And it's the same thing -- she'll spot a dog WAY before I do, and I know to look for the sure-to-be-there dog.
She's also a climber, so we have to watch her at every minute. She'll try to climb into the bath. Out of the bath. Out of her high chair (I literally caught her standing up in it with one leg out about to take a doozy of a first step). Even out of her crib -- trying to use the bumper as a step. Ruby was in her crib for two-and-a-half years and never tried to climb out. Tabs is not even one. SIGH!
Most of all though, she's just a funny, happy sweet kid. No hang ups (that we can see). No sour moods (yet). She's good times.
