I will have a baby at some point in the future.
That could be tomorrow or sometime in 2010. But at least we're narrowing it down.
Saw the baby doc again today -- my last scheduled appointment, at 39.5 weeks -- who checked my dilation again. I predicted maybe 1.5 cm, but she said "No, more like 2 or 3." WHAT? Really?! Because that's progress! "Well, I can stretch you out to 2 or 3 centimeters."
OK, I call shenanigans on that, Doc. Because when I'm at the hospital, laboring at 8 cm, you're not going to be all, "Well, I can just stretch you to 10 and then we'll deliver!"
So whatever, I'm probably like 1.5 or 2 cm. No word on effacement or stations or anything like that. We have a bit of mucous (mmm!), so again -- whatever. Now is good. Next week is good. It's all good. If I was hard pressed, I'd predict that I'm at least at the hospital by Sunday or Monday, but who knows? If not, the doc asked me to come back for some monitoring on Tuesday.
So we'll see... We'll see...
