Real quick.
I'll write more later on (when I'm not at work), but: I'm being kicked in the cervix right now. I'm at 15 weeks this Wednesday, and I'm (and have been all week) being kicked all to hell. This is my favorite part. :)
And also by the by, isn't life great? This morning: Wade and I in the kitchen; Ruby laying on her belly on the (very wide, don't worry) kitchen counter, up on her elbows, coloring on the back of a wedding invitation and getting pink and purple marker all over her face. Listening to a great cd (which Ruby was delighted went "around and around and around!" in the machine). Eating leftover eggplant parmesan for breakfast from my favorite restaurant when I was 12 -- that's still around and still makes amazing eggplant parm! Perfection.
And now at work, listening to the Pogues, getting kicked in the business, and it's a hot beautiful day outsdie, and this book exists and really? Truly? Life is pretty fucking fantastic.

So I have been thinking about it and if it is a boy, what better way to show your loyalty to favorite shows than by naming your kid after characters. Top six in no particular order:
1. Jack (30 rock and lost)
2. Elm (for ruby, but you don't want to call a kid elmo too obvious.)
3. Peter (this is so you will always remember peter brady and trivial peruit.)
4. Spike (Buffy, but also who would mess with your kid if his name was spike...NO ONE!)
5. Mal (firefly)
6. Joss (which covers a whole array of shows)
I think Isabella's gonna need Blueberry Girl...looks awesome.
YAY! Congratulations! It's only right that the two hottest people have as many babies as possible!!! Can I have Ruby?
yay, sounds like life is treating you well! Also on the name front (Jack has my vote--because my son's name is Jackson so obviously I love the name) and Mal was one of my husband's favs--totally because of Firefly, which was a very good show that should have been on longer since the character archs never had a chance to develop fully. Happy kicking and enjoy creating that little life in there!
